Become a Member of Niagara Falls Lightning Gymnastics Club

Niagara Falls Lightning Gymnastics Club (NFLGC) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting gymnastics in our community. As outlined in our By-Laws, membership is open to families, athletes, and supporters who share our mission and values.

 

Who Can Be a Member?

According to our by-laws (Section 8.01):

• • • • • Competitive Gymnasts (18 and over) and Parents/Guardians of Competitive Gymnasts (under 18) are automatically voting members when in good standing.

        • Employees of the Club are non-voting members.

        • Recreational Gymnasts (18 and over) and Parents/Guardians of Recreational Gymnasts (under 18) may apply for membership by completing the application form and paying the annual membership fee. Applications are reviewed and approved by the Board.

        • General Members (Supporters of the Club) – may apply for membership by completing the application form and paying the annual membership fee. Applications are reviewed and approved by the Board.

 

Membership Rights & Responsibilities

• • • • • Voting Rights: Members in good standing are entitled to vote at the AGM and any Special General Meetings; one (1) vote per family; voting by proxy is not permitted (Section 8.03).

        • Good Standing: Stay current on fees and follow the Club’s Code of Ethics (Section 8.04).

        • Participation: Members are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and help guide the Club’s future.

        • Support a safe, inclusive, and vibrant gymnastics community.

 

How to Apply

Download and complete the Membership Application Form and email it to info@lightninggymnastics.org. Applications are subject to review and approval by the Board of Directors as provided in the by-laws (Section 8.02).  Those approved for membership will be invoiced the $50 annual membership fee.

 

📌 Important Deadline

If you are interested in becoming a member and voting at this year’s AGM, please submit your completed Membership Application Form to info@lightninggymnastics.org no later than September 4, 2025. This ensures your application can be reviewed by the Board at its September 8, 2025 meeting in time for approval before the AGM.
