Policies

Gymnast Conduct and Participation Policy

We are committed to creating a sense of belonging and providing an enriching experience for all gymnasts. Therefore, children participating are expected to demonstrate respect and dignity for the rights of all others. Any language or behaviour intended to make other athletes or staff feel uncomfortable or compromise the safety of others based on behaviour will not be tolerated. Coaches reserve the right to remove a student from the class who cannot follow the structure of the class within a reasonable level. If your child has behavioural or social challenges, this must be disclosed to the coach ahead of time; and parents must be available onsite in viewing room if required for additional support.

Nut Free Facility

NFLGC is a NUT FREE facility.  Whether you are participating in our programs or just watching in the lobby, we CANNOT have any food brought into our building that contain nuts.  We have gymnasts with severe allergies and need to ensure that all our athletes are safe.  Thanks for your cooperation!

Illness Policy

Sniffles? Coughs? Runny noses? We love sharing, just not germs. If you or your child show any signs of illness, it’s best to stay home. Let’s not take any chances. We so appreciate your consideration, as do all our families.

For the avoidance of doubt, the NFLGC Illness Policy is as follows: we have a strict policy that anyone ill, unwell, feeling either ill or unwell or otherwise showing symptoms of illness whatsoever, should stay at home. Furthermore, your child may be asked to leave a class if NFLGC personnel, deem that they exhibit any of the above symptoms.

You should not leave home if you or someone you live with has any of the following:

  • a high temperature;
  • a new, continuous cough;
  • any of the symptoms set out in the paragraph above;
  • been in contact with anyone with any of the symptoms set out in the paragraph above;
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste; or
  • any other symptoms similar to or otherwise related to COVID-19;

Safety First Policy
The best interest of every child will always be our first priority here at Niagara Falls Lightning Gymnastic Club. Please understand that in order to adhere to this policy, we reserve the right to remove any participant from our programs that may hinder their own development or the development of the other children in our facility by way of their inappropriate behaviour. Our hope is that everyone fully enjoys the time they spend in our facility.
